Catherine Leonard, who is a fully qualified and highly experienced childcare practitioner, has overall responsibility as Nursery Manager. Catherine has a number of fantastic testimonials and will ensure your child receives the very best care and development opportunities during their early years. Catherine is supported by Denise Murray who is also highly experienced and has received some outstanding feedback from our parents.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Learning is natural

Here at Pendley Day Nursery we believe in a child centred approach, your child will be at the centre of everything we do. Offering a vast range of activities, you can be sure that your child has had a fun-filled day whilst being cared for to the highest possible standard in a brand new environment.

With experienced staff who will quickly get to know your child you can be confident that they will be in a safe and stimulating environment that helps them to grow, learn and develop. Using a mix of child initiated and adult led activities all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum are implemented ensuring your child gains an all-round experience. A free flow, open plan environment allows each child to explore and develop at their own rate whilst being offered support and encouragement along the way.

Every child is an individual and our approach ensures the best interests of the child are met. Offering high quality childcare for children aged 0 years to 4 years 11 months your child will soon be developing friendships, whilst learning lots of new things along the way.

Our facilities provide children with everything they need to prosper. Our focus is on a quality led approach. We have brand-new indoor equipment, toys and learning aids to provide the very best learning environment for your child. The setting provides expansive outdoor space where your child will be able to engage with nature in this stunning location.

RATED 'GOOD' BY OFSTED

November 2023

“Children form close bonds with staff and feel safe and secure at nursery. Babies show that they feel safe as they climb onto a staff member's lap for a cuddle.”

We are delighted to have received our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, following an inspection completed by Ofsted in November 2023.

The inspection found our children “arrive happily to find interesting resources,” whilst the staff “encourage children to be creative and explain their ideas”.

The report also noted that children are “confident and curious”.

This rating acknowledges the investment we have made in recent months and our continued determination to make Pendley Day Nursery a wonderful place where your children will flourish and progress. We would like to thank all our wonderful staff especially Lisa, our Nursery Manager, for her help in making this happen.
